Press Release Summary: Manchester ISP UKFast has launched Ecoservers, which are
helping internet businesses grow more easily and in a more environmentally
sustainable manner.

Press Release Body: A new web hosting technology created by Manchester ISP UKFast is
cultivating SMEs in an eco-friendly manner.

Ecoservers are an environmentally friendly hardware using less energy and generating
less heat so running and cooling costs are vastly reduced. Additionally, the green
UPS in the Ecoserver data centre works to 91% efficiency, which is seven per cent
more efficient than standard systems.

These benefits are passed down to businesses in the form of a large cost saving.

The benefits of Ecoservers go beyond the idea of building technology that is
environmentally friendly. They are also being used as a platform from which smaller
businesses can quickly and affordably increase the capabilities of their online
presence as they grow.

Neil Lathwood, UKFast's IT director said: "Ecoservers are much more scalable than
shared hosting solutions and also much cheaper than standard dedicated server
solutions. When the time comes for a business to upgrade its server hardware to a
more powerful solution, information and applications can simply be "dragged and
dropped" onto the new platform."

When a website starts to receive a lot of traffic, many companies find that they
need to upgrade their server solution. This is because of the need for increased
bandwidth, processing power and the desire to develop the solution to integrate with
databases and other functional software.

"As competition online increases, shared hosting is becoming a dying breed," said
Lathwood. "However, many businesses do not want to begin with a large dedicated
server but require sophisticated technology to keep pace. Ecoservers bridge the gap
and improve your carbon footprint."

Users also benefit by being in line with government directives to improve their
technology procurement policies. And the service operates on a paperless system with
all billing undertaken online. Furthermore, with every Ecoserver sold, UKFast
invests into natural woodland saving it from development.
